New James Bond Game Titled 'GoldenEye 2010'? .: || 11/03/2009 - 12:18 AM ||
An online resume for animator Craig Peck, previously employed by Eurocom (co-developer on Dead Space Extraction), says the studio is working on a new James Bond title called "GoldenEye 2010" for the Nintendo Wii.
Activision CEO Mike Griffith confirmed earlier this year during an investor call the company was creating a new James Bond title, but did not provide further details.
It's unlikely this title is a remake or "high-def" version of the classic Nintendo 64 shooter, as developer Rare recently stated the idea of bringing the game to Xbox Live and PlayStation Network were "long past the stage where an agreement was on the cards." But as Rare later noted, "stranger things have happened."

MGM had previously announced a 18 November 2011, premiere date for the as-yet-untitled 'Bond 23,' although producer Michael Wilson had earlier stated that the film would go into production this year.

Roger Moore dislikes those who partake of Foie Gras .: || 09/24/2009 - 2:01 AM ||
When I played James Bond, I was used to fanciful scripts about violence and intimidation. And during 19 years campaigning for the children's charity Unicef, I have come across appalling examples of inhumanity in the real world.
But I have seen few things so revolting and shaming as the horrendous routine cruelty to ducks and geese that goes into the production of one of the world's so-called culinary delicacies, foie gras.
So when PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) approached me three years ago to narrate a video about these ghastly practices in the hope of educating people everywhere against them, I agreed.
I had done a little research into the methods of foie gras production, I knew I had to find time to try to stop this barbaric trade which shames everyone who connives to keep it going, by eating the stuff, serving it or stocking it in their grocery shops.

Brad Pitt came third for his torso in Troy with 14%.
And Sacha Baron Cohen's mankini turn in Borat came fourth at 7%, beating Sean Connery by a close shave as 007 in Thunderball with 6% of votes.

James Bond and Wolverine have hit Broadway .: || 09/18/2009 - 1:59 AM ||
Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman gave their first performance Thursday night in the play "A Steady Rain." In it, Craig and Jackman play Chicago police officers confronting professional and personal difficulties.
The 90-minute play, which has just two characters, arrives in New York after a well-reviewed run in Chicago with a different cast in 2007.
Craig and Jackman have significantly increased the star wattage of the production. Craig skyrocketed to film stardom as the latest cinematic James Bond, and Jackman plays Wolverine in the "X-Men" movies.
They drew a standing ovation from the sold-out Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre audience on Thursday. It was Craig's Broadway debut.

Daniel Craig eyes psychological thriller .: || 06/25/2009 - 3:43 AM ||
The latest James Bond has proved a critical and commercial success in his two turns in the iconic role, for "Casino Royale" and "Quantum of Solace." But he has been deliberate in choosing his next live-action role.
Now comes word he is in early talks to star in "Dream House," a psychological thriller to be directed by Irish filmmaker Jim Sheridan for indie producer Morgan Creek, though principals stress that the two sides have not reached a deal.
In the David Loucka script, Craig would play a man who moves his family to an idyllic small town, only to find his house haunted by its former inhabitants, who were murdered there.

Licensed To Chill .: || 06/03/2009 - 1:49 AM ||
Many women would admit wanting to put their lips to 007 Daniel Craig's sculpted torso, and this summer they will be able to as lollies of the James Bond star have been created.
An ice cream company created the purple "licence to chill" smoothie after asking more than 1,000 women which male celebrity like to see on the end of a stick.
Del Monte Superfruit Smoothies, who produced the limited edition replica lollies, said artists "worked tirelessly" to recreate a sculpture of 41-year-old Craig in the scene where he emerges from the sea in Casino Royale.
"Daniel Craig topped our poll of Britain's coolest celebrities and thanks to our Del Monte lolly replica he is officially immortalised as super smooth and licensed to chill," said spokesman Matt O'Connor.
The Daniel Craig smoothie lollies are blueberry, pomegranate and cranberry flavoured and under 100 calories each.
They are to be distributed during the first National Ice Cream Week which starts today and ends on June 7.

The Irish actor, who was on location filming new movie Percy Jackson, spotted the out-of-control vehicle speeding down a hill straight towards his blonde co-star.
A source said: "No one was aboard the runaway van as it barrelled towards a grassy area where Uma was relaxing with cast and crew.
"Pierce yelled, `Get out of the way!'
"He raced after the van, wrenched open the driver's side door, jumped in and slammed on the brakes."
